Maryam Hassani is a 2024 Rising Star, an award which is only given to 2.5% of attorneys in Illinois. She has over ten years of legal experience in various areas of practice, including family and divorce, social security disability, immigration, estate planning, business law and insurance defense. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Indiana, and has successfully represented clients in court, as well as in mediation and negotiation processes. Maryam is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association.

Maryam has a strong academic background and a diverse skill set. She earned her J.D. with a Concentration in Health Law from Indiana University McKinney School of Law, ranked 17th in Health Care Law, and her M.B.A. with a Concentration in Management from Loyola University Chicago, one of the top three part-time MBA programs in Chicago. She also holds an Honors Bachelor of Science (with Distinction) in Psychology from the University of Toronto, one of the top 25 universities worldwide. She is fluent in English, French, and Persian (Farsi), and has lived in three different countries. She is passionate about helping her clients achieve their goals and protect their rights.
